FUNDING

You do not need a referral to access an assessment or therapy with a speech pathologist. You may be entitled to the following rebates towards the cost of therapy.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Talk About Speech Pathology can provide assessment and therapy services to NDIS participants who are Plan Managed and Self Managed. We can also assist you in your application and help you through the approval process. To find out more information about applying and using your NDIS funding we recommend that you call our office.

Private Health Insurance
Most services provided are covered under private health insurance. If you wish to know the exact rebate amount, we recommend that you contact your health insurance provider.

GP Chronic Disease Management Plan
If eligible, a referral by a GP under this plan enables your child to access a rebate from Medicare for up to 5 sessions in a calendar year. To obtain this referral, you will need to see your GP who will then assess your eligibility for the plan and provide you with a form which must be brought into the clinic. Payment for the session is made up front, and then you can lodge a claim through Medicare to receive your rebate.

Helping Child with Autism Medicare Rebates (HCWA)

Once received you are entitled to up to 20 therapy sessions. Payment for the session is made up front, and then you can lodge a claim through Medicare to receive your rebate.
